I have searched around and haven't had any luck identifying what this is...has anyone had something like this? Currently my tank is thriving except this dang zoa colony.

Looks like Hydroids. Too small to be aptasia
Treatment: Remove all visible hydroids with a scalpel or razor blade, or treat with pickling lime or Joe's Juice

Thank you. It came to my mind.. but i felt these are too chunky to be hydroids.. quick google revealed there are way many types of them.. including the ones shown here
