I have this rainbow monti which I like but it’s growing and spreading and I’m guessing will grow up/over anything in its path. I have a setosa that is in its path. it has started going over it and I assume it will cover it in a couple months time. What should I do here? Is my only option to try to frag the setosa and move it? Is there a way to contain the monti?

thanks.

there will be some coral warfare here. your best bet is to frag and move the setosa.

i also will have a similar situation once my beach bum monti and jf aquaman monti get close to each other...

I’m thinking of covering the monti with glue and killing it. Would that work?

I have other stuff near by as well so killing it seems like the best plan if possible

Now I’m curious …
I had a few montis which I thought were green plating .
but remember having a rainbow which I assumed was dead .
I have a similar monti encrusting my frag rack with green polyps but that’s it for colour ..

Went the super glue route. Gonna be an ugly spot for a while. Also had a pipe organ coral that was getting out of hand and what started as a trimming resulted in a complete removal in about a thousand pieces.
