If you're stuck on LED, I'd vote for a RB Photon 48. I have that one on my 75 and also had one on my 120. Funny, last weekend on the 120 I raised the Photon 48 up, turned it off and put my canopy with dual MH radium 250s and dual T-5 back on. I like both LED and MH for different reasons. You can't beat the programming and dimming effects with the Photons IMO, but the sparkle and "pop" of the MH is a look I've always loved. The corals love it too and my clam came back out after not really liking the LED.

I use the Reefbreeder photon at 37% blue max and 32%white max, I do have problems with new corals bleaching if they did not come from other LED tanks, but after a few weeks they usually color back up and start growing. I think some people use the lights for a few days, see bleaching and say see these do not work. It took about a month or 2 before my sps regained color after switching from t5's

I have a mixed reef with cheap Chinese LEDs. my 30+ coral grow like weeds. I actually had to move my montis a lil lower to keep them happy while still keeping my sps happy. My coral are growing so great that I'm upgrading from a 72 bow front to a 150. that and I've become a coral junkie n want more coral but ran out of room lol.

Hmmmm...30"...think my 48" might be a lil long for it to cover...!? Guess I'd have to get 2 of the smaller ones to cover my tank...any thoughts...?

Another question for people that have small kids or just small themselves...lol jk
With the kessils, hydra 26's, radions being suspended in air above the tank, if kids walk up to the tank and can see the bottom of the light and are in the light spread, can the light hurt their eyes...???

I have the Chinese 165 watt marsaqua. Leds over a 46 gal bow front. I've had them for about 4 months. I could not be more happy with them.
