Unfortunately I was called to work to for 6-7 weeks and managed took only two pictures. I did small upgrade and installed two cut off valves for return pump to help me with periodic pump cleaning and rotor replacement.
Please post more questions regarding Ca reactor and I try to answer (with pictures) after my return.
Long time no update. I would like to thank you my fellow aquarist Kris who shot and edit this short movie.

https://reefbuilders.com/2015/10/19/dastaco-automatic-calcium-reactor/Hi @Jacek56
If you can find the time, would you explain a little more about your calcium reactor.
I am very curious how you automated this.

This article describes all details. From my experience you don’t need that fancy controller to run this kind reactor.
I got simple AWT to control CO2 like this one
and pump
Pump got control knob for flow control in this case to control the effluent water.

In chamber no1 there is a float switch, CO2 and water supply from peristaltic pump. When you turn on reactor all 3 chambers are full of water, float switch activate CO2 solenoid valve and chamber No1 is filled with CO2. When lelvel of CO2 reaches the float then float drops ( can’t swim in the gas ) and gas supply is cut off. CO2 dissolves in the water in the blink of the eye, creates more room for water. So floater can swim again and activates CO2 supply and again CO2 fills up chamber and again float drops cutting off CO2 supply. Imagine how your ATO device works. Instead pumping water is pumping CO2 to keep the same level of CO2 in chamber no1. That’s the dastaco secret .
Wow these photos!!Thanks for this.

Yes. I used to feed my Idol with calms. This is history, toxins released by red bugs killed him and helmon a few years ago. What are you feeding in those pictures? Clams?
Yes you are right, red planaria. I wasn’t aware of amount of that plague in my tank. Losses were huge even corals were grey for couple of “weeks. Now when I spot even one red planaria I start chemical warfare.Toxins released by red bugs? You don’t mean red planaria?
