Hello all,
I got a 75Gallon aquarium in a very good shape(48x18x21) for free recently from a friend, the stand was in a very bad so we had to discard it. before building a DIY with 2x4, I was wondering if anyone has given this a thought, (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Edsal-72...al-Shelving-Unit-in-Black-UR-245WGB/202067997) I have a similar one at work and it holds a lot of weight. the official rating on this one I believe is 1000lbs per shelf, a 75G reef I imagine will weigh a hair below that. what do you guys think?
I was thinking if it will hold, leave the bottom shelf for sump, setup the aquarium on the middle one and leave the top for setting up lighting, removing 2nd and 4th away.
