Thats great Paulie, to bad so many people just want things for nothing. We need more people like you.

I also have some experience with Paulie but I didn't need a hoodie. He collected some cool creatures attached to a rock, it also had seaweed on it and he sent it to me without me even asking. It sits in the front of my tank and is still alive and smiling.

He also volunteered to help me install 3 boat batteries in my boat as they are heavy (about 50 lbs) and I am now old and probably can't crawl into the bilge to lift them out. It is a contortionest position.
I installed them but that was 10 years ago when I was a kid.

Paulie lives about 100 miles from me.
Any thing for you Mr.B.

We had a older couple break down by out house. They came for help. They were on their way
from Kansas to Twin cities. The car just would not start. They called their daughter she had no car to pick them up. So my wife made a meat and cheese plate. We sat and ate with them. It was nice.
Then packed them into our suv, and took them the rest of the way. Got a xmas card from them that year. Always hope as I get older, someone would do that for the wife and I If needed. Paulie you are a good person. Wish more people would help others. :)

Thank you for kind words but I’m just trying to be the best me I can be realizing that it’s not to late to find your inner goodness
This kind of reminds me of Christmas. It’s going to be a tough year for a lot of people. With so many losses to the virus, people are going to be very sad and will miss their loved ones. We are all going to have to be extra kind because we have no idea what others are going through. Times are hard right now. More difficult than usual, I’d say. Peace & Joy

Ok so a lot of you may have read yesterday’s post and it was more like blowing off steam and the love n support I received from my fellow reefers was the one thing that made me smile while spend 18+hrs on a emergency call
Well today started off great so far,, I went to local gas station to get gas and noticed that the old guy pumping my gas was shivering very hard,, I go pretty chilly n windy today huh buddy,, he says heck yeah it is , my zipper broke on my hoodie jacket plus it’s still damp from the rain yesterday, and even worse is my spare one I left here is missing
Without even thinking twice ,, I took off my insulated hoodie and gave it to him,, almost Immediately he started to tear up n goes I can’t take your hoodie then you’ll be cold all day,, I go no worries brother I just live 2 minutes away I’ll just go get another one,, he actually wept n gave me a hug while thanking me over and over again I just said it cool God Bless you,, then I drove away
My mother made it her mission to make sure I had empathy and compassion and respect,, if you have those 3 traits your life will have meaning
God bless r2r have great day
Very good point, I tell everyone here treat others as you want to be treated and especially if you're conducting business here or anywhere treat others as you want to be treated. We do that very little issues

This is good stuff we all need to hear during times like these. So I will share my favorite story about how PEOPLE make miracles happen.

Through our church and a partnership with a local non-profit, we would field teams of church members to go help very poor residents repair their homes. We have some skill workers, but mostly white collar finance types. Teams of 5-10 for a full 8 hour day in nearby towns.

Hurricane Sandy dropped an enormous oak tree in the front lawn of a small house in a working class neighborhood. It blocked the driveway and walkway to the house. The owners were very senior and both very unwell. Their adult children lived there too, but had their own issues. Nobody had the money to remove the tree. It sat there for over a year before we were asked if we could handle it.

We said we would remove as much as we could but were short handed and did not have a chainsaw blade long enough to cut up the bottom 20 feet or so. Also,we did not have equipment to remove the rounds that were 5' across.

We set to work. Just 7 of us. A couple of the younger ones (including my daughter) started posting pics on instagram, FB, whatever. Soon a couple cars and a pickup show up. We are up to 12 people now. We now have another chain saw, mauls, wedges, sledges.

I notice as cars go by, they are slowing, taking notice, returning. Neighbors are coming out, looking, walking by. They start asking "what's going on?". The more people that are hanging around, the more people that are stopping, parking asking questions. Pretty soon, random neighborhood people -- who drove by that downed tree for over a year -- are pulling up with serious equipment -- a big splitter, a big chainsaw, big forearms and coolers full of beer and water. And music. Food. Then a trailer. Then more people. Over the course of the day, we must have had 30 people from the neighborhood pitching in. They were hauling wood 15 miles back to our church and stacking it for our Fall bonfire. All sweaty. All smiles.

So yeah, 7 people with gloves and a 20" Stihl cut, split and removed ~15 cords of wood that day. It was one of the most inspirational days of my life to see a community come together like that one Saturday in June. People make the miracles big and small.

I try to do something nice for others on a daily basis.
The good Lord saved me from cancer, twice. I feel blessed and there are so many FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS that are less fortunate than I am.
We all need each other.
