Storing Live rock

Hello, new reefer here. I got a good deal on some live rock (approx 20 lbs). They are currently placed in a plastic tub with a lid with a wave maker and heater and salt water. I eventually will be placing the remainder of the rock needed (dry rock) for cycling into a brute can. I'm doing this because my main tank is not going to be ready for a bit.

Any suggestions on keeping the live rock alive in the mean time? I'm reading alot of conflicting advise such as: Lighting (to promote coralline growth) and ghost feeding.

What do you guys suggest? Thanks

I think whatever you've done this far is sufficient.

just keep it wet with circulation check the salinity for evaporation. Put your dry rock in there and by the time that your ready to use the dry rock will be seeded. no need to keep a light on it. This is also called cooking the rock.

Allow some type of gas exchange and make sure that lid isn't too tight.

I guess the advice depends on what you are trying to keep alive. Live rock starts dying the minute it leaves its environment. Organisms die at different rates and for different reasons.

Okay great thank, any need to check for any parameters other than Salinity?
