Strange lighting schedule

Has anyone ever ran a 12 hour lighting schedule? Essentially turning one day into two. 5 hours on then 7 off then 5 on and 7 off. I wonder if lps and macro algae would adjust to it?

I’ve never tried nor have I heard of any. However the idea is intriguing ... definitely going to stay around this topic to see what others say ...

I wonder if everything would adjust. Then I could view my tank before work and after work. I’m going to try it on a ten gallon I’ve had running about 6 months. I took most of the coral out and just have macro algae and a neon green toadstool in it.
