Which part of lake Superior...please tell me it's not in a reef tank lol. I went to Michigan Tech and did a geological survey of the types of rock found in/around the keweenaw...and you can bet copper was in the list.

Which part of lake Superior...please tell me it's not in a reef tank lol. I went to Michigan Tech and did a geological survey of the types of rock found in/around the keweenaw...and you can bet copper was in the list.

Yup in a cold water reef tank for 4 years now and the nems and inverts coraline algae.. star coral...some sort of encrusting hard coral?? i dont rememeber the name...just... thriving.

I grabbed it near Duluth MN and washed it in some rodi and in it went 4 years ago.

Actually the dang cleanest sugar sand I ever used...no dust but obviously not arganite.

I think you lucked out since there's a TON of copper in both lake Superior and the surrounding shorelines.

I looked what Pacific coast had for types of rock and it looked similar. I used to have stones in there too...I removed some but a few left.

Im not near the Pacific and arganite seemed unnatural Soo...
