Hey can anyone give me some insight as to why my peacock mantis shrimp may be swimming strangely. He comes out of his cave and swims up to the top of the tank then plummets back down and goes back into his cave. My tank has not changed and parameters have been stable only new thing is i replaced the circulation pump. Could he be checking out the pump or looking for food or should i be concerned. Thanks!

Normal, Odontodactylus are very active swimmers, it's just trying to get over the obstacle infront of it (glass). Acclimated ones typically do this in late evening hours each night.

Make sure the tank is covered.
