T5/Radion Question

I have 2 radion g1 and g2. I want to run a hybrid system with t5s. My questions are as fallowed;

1. Should I upgrade both to gen 3
2. What would I set the radions on with the t5 running
3. Should i give up on led and go t5/mh or just t5

BTW i have the x15pro over my 60 gallon and could not grow anything. I am new to the hobby i kind of want to simplify. I am also thinking about really simplifying and doing just t5s

Welcome to R2R! If it were me, I would upgrade your G.1 to G.2 and add a Quad T5 with ATI bulbs in it. That would give you good spread and depth penetration. I run a AquaticLife XS Series LEDs with a AquaticLife Quad T5 with 3x ATI Blue+ and 1x Purple+. Gives me good coverage and penetration.

Are you planning to use a canopy or a frame of some sort? I think its fairly easy to supplement Radions with Retrofit T5s in a canopy, its a bit more difficult if you're trying to make a bracket to house both fixtures and hanging them nicely.
