Na I don't do Royal.weddings, coronations and the like Paul, I will leave that to Mrs Atoll.
My dad was a desert rat and also served in India among other places. My mum who is 98 was in the woman's land army during the war.
I was in the boy scouts. I missed all wars which is no bad thing.

Some of us are blessed with this inconceivable good luck. We can walk under ladders cracks in the pavements cross knives and ride my luck like horses on a carousel and never get these diseases. Just born extremely lucky I guess.

However in other ways never so lucky, just lucky having healthy tanks despite our foolishness for we know not what we do to bring such luck. Surely, it flies in the face of everything the marine reefkeeping experts can fathom so therefore its just good old lady luck.

I lost a fish yesterday a firefish one of a pair, it desided to take a holiday and carpet surfed. My dog found it. It couldn't have been there long as it wasn't crisp. Been quite sometime since I lost a fish. These things happen and am so unlucky.

Atoll I am sure there will be more wars you can fight in. Just be patient. :)

Your Mum is a patriot. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Yep mum did her bit in the war working on farms to help feed the nation during WW2.

Unfortunately you are correct re wars. Dad's army here I come.

Just done a video update on my tank build thread as it's been a while.

Atoll, what is your maintenance schedule on your tank as far as water changes, sandbed vacuuming and glass cleaning? I love seeing your tank and how natural it looks!

If I told you I would have to shoot you. lol.

Actually I hardly ever do water changes and when I do am not sure why.
I trim the Ulva on the screen of my waterfall ATS every 7 to10 days.
I replace the small amount of Rowa in my reactor every couple of months.
I hardly ever stir my sand but now and again give it a bit of a blast with a baster.
Skimmer cup gets emptied weekly or there abouts.
A add a few teaspoons of calcium hydroxide to my kalk stirrer now and again.
I have no filter wool, socks or rollermat to clean etc.
I add some sodium carbonate to my ATU a few times a week.
A little strontium iron iodine and manganese add in a hock way.
That's about it. I Just let nature get on with it really.

Lol! No calcium reactor? It shows that this hobby really doesn't have to be difficult, we just make it that way!
No yet but I do have a calcium reactor. Currently the kalk stirrer and the occasional calcium chloride take care of calcium. I don't really want to crank up the calcium reactor unless I really have to.

It looks great, but you sound like Prince Charles or King Charles. I can't keep track of you guys royalty people. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I expect you to break out in a rendition of Yellow Submarine. :D

Like John Lennon.
I think.you will.find Charlie has a far more posh accent than me Paul plus am a roundhead not a loyalist.

This morning I went down to the beach armed with a bucket because it was low tide. The tides here rise about 8' so the water goes way out at low tide and it exposes the rocks that line the bottom of the Sound.

There weren't thousands of amphipods like there will be in a couple of weeks but I got a nice supply. I also collected "Moose" amphipods which are about half to three quarters of an inch for my breeding population.

The main reason I collect this time of the year is for the mud with associated bacteria. I brought home about a cup of that which is also loaded with tiny copepods and amphipods.

After dumping out the floating very fine mud, I added the rest to my tank to the delight of my fish. :)

Atoll do you think Charles would let me have one of those crowns? Think of the Steampunk thing I could build with one of those. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Send an email to the Palace Paul tell them I recommend you tonthem. I am sure he could spare a couple Old crowns. You could turn it into a kind of carousel with horses going round it lit by tiny LEDs.

My best friend here whonwas suffering with cancer gave up the fight on Wednesday at 4pm UK time. We saw each other every day before cancer struck. Walked our dogs together, went to classic car shows and generally enjoyed one another company.
I made Mike a few promises as he became weaker and we confided in each other as good friend do. A better friend I could not have wished for.
We are waiting news as to when the funeral will be but there is a delay issuing the death certificate probably due to a few mistaks made by the doctors at the hospital.
