Something weird is going on with these Dwarf Waspfish. I have had a pair for a few years, and for most of that time, they hid in caves in the back and very rarely came to the front. They were very hard to feed, as they were too shy and never did both of them venture to the front at the same time.
I had to target feed them, and each one would only eat about once a week

Now both of them stay in the front and will eat almost every time I feed them. I give them pieces of clam and live earthworms, and they will suck the food right out of the baster thing I made. They actually bite the thing when I put it near them.

Normally, my other fish, especially my filefish will steal the food instantly, but now they push him away and get the food.

I think they are going to spawn but I am not sure.

Sorry to mess up this thread with a fish question🤣, but have you noticed this kind of behavior change with other fish when they started breeding? I have a pair of watchman gobies where would sometimes not see the smaller one for a month at a time. Then I suddenly saw it and it was almost as big as the other and out constantly. Now they are always both out most of the time and very active. My cleaning lady swore she saw them doing the nasty last week. I can’t see into their cave to figure out if there are eggs (aka free fish food).

I’ve had damsels and clowns spawn over the years, but this would be anew one for me to confirm in my tank. Actually saw the damsel fry swimming around before they got eaten.

Watchmans do spawn in a cave, and they spawn often. It's usually hard to see their eggs.
