My Great friend Tommy passed away last night.
I'm sorry to see this Paul. He sounds like a wonderful person.

His Corona Virus test came back negative twice which leads me to believe those tests may be from China and not reliable.
Unfortunately, this is a problem. Even the test kits made here are mostly made with base chemicals from China. And they are proving to be very unreliable. Many countries are returning their test kits due to a 30% or less accuracy rate.
One of my co-workers tested negative twice on the early tests. It wasn't until they used one of the new rapid tests that they finally confirmed he was positive. Fortunately, he is back home now and almost recovered. I'm not sure what would have happened if he hadn't been in an area with very few cases so they could dedicate extra resources to him.

This is horrible. His wife, my closest "girl" friend is inconsolable and incoherent. We spoke to her but it is just to much. She is in a big house all by herself and no one, including her kids can go there to console her.
Tommy is in the black hat and his wife is opposite with the dark hair.

This is when they helped us move here and painted with me.
He was a Navy, Viet Nam Vet.
They are not burying now as the cemeteries are not working so they are keeping him at the hospital in a freezer truck.

They are my closest friends for over 50 years and will be terribly missed. We saw them almost every week and spoke almost every day. We went through a lot together. They were married 47 years.

So sorry to hear about Tommy. It is always difficult to lose a friend or loved one, but under these trying times, it is so much more difficult. My heart goes out to his wife.

My condolences Paul.

How do you and your wife going? - Well I hope.

We have not meet any people closer than 1.5 meters for nearly a month now and we probably need to do this for month or two from now. We still shop food by our self but we order the food through internet (and pay) - take the car to the shop. Outside the shop - there is boxes - both for dry food, chillen food and frozen food. You put in your phone number in a computer. Boxes with your order opens and you can pick them up and go home - not meeting any closer than 1.5 to 2 meters. You pay $5 for this excellent service.

Sincerely Lasse

Many of the stores here have been offering a similar service for a number of years, but they are overwhelmed right now and it can take a few days to get the order ready.

Lasse, I had two orders from Supermarkets but they cancelled them because the stores are overwhelmed. Here is the epicenter of cases in the US. My town alone (Suffolk Long Island) we have over 20,000 cases.

My friend Tommy tested negative twice for the virus. He was sick for less than 2 weeks. My Daughter just called and her friend who is a doctor here in New York, and just got over the virus told her that only about 30% of the test kits work.

His Wife Sue lost her Fiancé weeks before they were to be married. He was shot and killed in Viet Nam.

My friend Sue's Daughter visited her yesterday wearing a Hazmat suit, although I don't know where she got it. Her Daughter lives in Jersey 3 hours away and I am so glad she came.
I am very worried about my friend

So many lives lost to this virus and no real let up. I feel sorry for all those who have lost dear friends and love ones.
