Good Morning. I just came back from an ear Doctor. What is that like an audiologist, hemotoligist, archaeologist or some other kind of ologist.

My left ear wasn't working so he took this special "Eheim" filter, connected it to a turkey baster and sucked out a mountain of wax.

In the next room there was this young girl sitting there making candles and selling them for seven bucks each.
Those are a steal.

Being as they went through and Eheim filter, they are safe to burn around reef tanks.

My shoulder is doing so good I am thinking of taking up pole vaulting. I am supposed to wear this sling for 5 more weeks but I rarely wear it at all. Of course when I hear my wife coming I quickly put it on because she listens to "everything" a doctor says and thinks my arm will fall off if I don't wear it.

I mean you should take that stuff under advisement and mull it over in your mind a little. Then disregard it and go about your business. :p

Am not a big wrasse fan but I have 2 black leopard wrasse and a yellow wrasse that survived my tank crash a while ago. I had a yellow wrasse but I decided to take it back to the LFS I bought it from. I bought it at about 2" and in 18 months it grew to about 6/7".

Lovely fish, so why did I trade it you may ask. Well it was top fish in the tank but not a problem to other fish even my other wrasse. However,it was one of those fish that likes to swim along the front glass back and forth probably due to the fact it could see another male in its reflection.

If there is one thing I don't like to see is fish swimming back and forth in front of the tank, so unnatural looking. It was also bigger than all my other fish and had outgrown my desire.

So what did I trade it for? Well the LFS had a yellow assesor that had been in for quite some time but it wasn't cheap. However I was surprised and delighted when the manager said we could do a straight swap. I call that a result.

I don't expect to see much of it at least for a while as they are secretive fish and like to hang out in caves and overhangs. Another lovely fish though and if I ever get the chance to photograph it I surely will.

Off to the LFS you go.

My friend Atoll, nice move. I have about 30 fish in my tank and I rarely see more than 6 or 7 of them. Most of my fish are kind of oddballs and not very common which is why I only have one tang, a Hippo. They are just to numerous and common.

I like the weirder and rarer types of fish, even if I rarely see them. It's like Home Depot (I doubt you have them in the UK) It is a homeowners building supply and everybody shops there because they are so big and numerous that they put everybody else out of business.

But if you buy something there like a light fixture, everybody else also has it so it is not creative or interesting. I really don't like the place but there are no more lumber yards and hardly any good hardware stores left. :(

Our equivalent to your home depot would be B&Q here.

I don't mind common fish and some not so common. I just buy fish and corals I like. However, I prefer small fish in pairs etc which makes them.much more interesting. I have one tang a small mimic tang.

My biggest fish now is a black leopard wrasse of about 3". I must try and find a mate for my assessor but they are not cheap here, nice fish though. I also want a pair of firefish the so called common type, I just like them.

Beautiful. :D

I also like smaller pairs of fish. I have paired possum wrasses, blue stripe pipefish, rainsford gobies, ruby red dragonettes, mandarins, watchmans, bangai's and a couple of others.

The UK is made up of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England. All have members of he UK parliament your Congress. Northern Ireland Wales and Scotland also have their own parliaments and have control of certain things like their budgets.

To be knighted you either have to have done well above and beyond to help your community, charities and the like. You can be knighted for services to industry and armed forces. MPs who have served for many years can be knighted and be given a seat in the house of lords. I would given.them a deckchair. Sports people and pop stars can also be knighted why I have no idea and many people say they shouldn't be. There are differently levels of Knighthood. You could have been knighted for killing a dragon but conservation came to late to save them and they were made extinct in the middle ages. The middle ages ended just before you were born. Some of those knighted can drive their sheep through central London but they refrain from exercising their right to do so as many sheep get stolen by kebab shops.

Unfortunately you won't get knighted for having a fish tank unless you supply fish to the queen to dine on. Seems if you have a lot of money and got it through debatable means you can also be knighted. Some of the biggest criminals in the UK get knighted but the fact they are criminals is kept quiet.

That's it in a nutshell but just about anybody can be knighted in fact a piece of steak was knighted in the middle ages and was knighted sir loin, I kid you knot that's true.
Do you ever refer yourself as from the UK? Or just say you Welsh or maybe British?
I know me personally I don't think ever told anyone I'm from the UK,either just say I'm English or sometimes British.
Ovbiously British is England,Wales,Scotland and UK is them 3 plus Northern ireland just for my curiousity as when on holiday abroad and I say im English and they often say aw your from the UK lol

And glad your surgery went well Paul.

And as far as I know if a royal becomes queen,it doesnt mean her husband becomes king but if a king is appointed then his wife becomes queen or something like this if memory serves me correct but probably wrong or missed so etching out ha ha ^_^

Apparently reason is a king outranks a queen and as our old Duke of Edinburgh ( Queens dead husband) married into British Royal family rather than being born into,he can't get be a higher rank than the Queen but if Prince William becomes king, his wife Kate will become Queen ( unless they get divorced ha ha as anything possible with today's royals ha ha )

Aw sorry I thought you Welsh with it saying you from Wales but that's like it says I'm from Liverpool but I'm not a scouse as from Bradford ^_^
I'm living in dingle now like 400 metres from where Ringo star lived in the Welsh streets just off park road.which part you grow up in liverpool ?

I as a New Yorker don't understand all that Royal stuff. I mean you guys fired the King and Queen and elected some guy, so why isn't the Royal Family like looking for a nice place to live, maybe on an Island someplace instead of trying to heat that big castle.

I am from Brooklyn. :D

I don't think I ever said I am from Wales just that I have lived here for over 3 years now. If I said such a thing I would be wrong, living in Wales dosent make you Welsh.

Where I live there are many nationalities and English is the common Language spoken followed by Polish lol. I never hear Welsh spoken here but a about 7 miles away you do hear Welsh spoken from time to time. Yes there is a Welsh language with is a compulsory subject in all schools in Wales.

They have lots of nice places to live. Balmoral, Windsor castle, Buckingham palace. The queen is still head of state and the prime minister still has to get her permission to form a government.
My brother was in the guards and did sentry duty etc outside Buckingham palace complete with the Busby bear skin helmet.

Yeah was meaning " it says you from Wales " meaning here on r2r
But that me presuming and thought and know what thought did ha ha.but like mine saying from Liverpool but I only live here and not from here ^_^
My step dad was Welsh from the valleys and spoke little Welsh but not much tbh

And Paul when queen's husband was alive he owned " grosvenor building services" and once was England's biggest landlord or so I got told when worked on the hilton Hotel in Liverpool when getting built ( but someone could of been telling fibs lol) so guess he had lots places could live but the royals lots of fancy palaces and such where do already live or stay at when suits them I guess.
And them Irish guards with th huge bearskin helmets must have strong necks as bet they weigh a ton lol
