Tanks with no light

one thing I always judge how my tank is doing is when the lights are not on yet. Checking the tank first thing in the morning and looking for coral color as we see it in the ocean is my rule how the tank is doing. I'm interested to hear opinions and of course some pics will be also nice. It's hard to take a picture of your tank with no lights cause of reflections.

Really cool seeing pictures of the tank with no lights!! I agree it can be a very good thing to do. I have noticed in the past that with the lights out you can see certain things like tissue loss on acros or algae that is some how not easily seen with the lights on.

Absolutely , love looking at the corals first thing in the morning and check polyp extension on sps and by just that I know who is happy and hungry or not. Softies extended tentacles looking for food etc. I think it's important to take five minutes and evaluate
