Curiosity question here. How many here actually check their magnesium? How often? I have read a lot of differing opinions on this. Quite a few say no need to test if you are doing water changes, while others test it weekly and add as necessary. I have never tested mine, I don't even have a mag. test kit. But I am thinking about it. What test kits are most often used? I mostly have Hanna checkers, but I also have some Salifert. Just wondering which to get. For ease of use, and accuracy I really like Hanna, but Salifert I know is also quite dependable. Just curious what others here are doing.

Once a month icp for me , actually bumped it recently from 1250 to around 1350 if I got the dose right

I checked it with ICP and it has been 6 months between tests.

I have, its a pain, and then Randy went a wrote something so I don't bother anymore :o

I test once in a while, and it runs 1230's - 1280's. This is with a AquaForest test kit. Never read up on the RMM way.:thinking-face:

RMM for me, iCP a couple times per year. No problems.

I don’t test calcium either, waiting for Randy to right up a nice article in support of my strategy :)
