Apologies, in advance, for the lengthy review but there are some good points I want to bring up with this transaction. I just got in a pretty big shipment from Ian (quite a few wild colonies) today. I actually ordered most of these colonies almost 2.5 months ago. I was transitioning to a new tank and Ian agreed to hold the pieces for me. These weren't small frags so props to Ian for holding large pieces for that long. It's not something I would expect from most vendors. Once I was ready for shipment, a big acro was not looking good and Ian didn't want to send a coral that wasn't completely healed. Ian was able to acquire another piece (larger than original) and shipped everything out yesterday.
Got the shipment in today and everything looked phenomenal. Large, wild colonies are not easy to ship and Ian bagged each coral at least 6-7 times. Everything was packaged beautifully. Ian contacted me as soon as the package was delivered and followed up again an hour later. Again, not something I expect from a vendor.
Just a few things that you can expect when you deal with Ian (Reef Odyssey):
1) Great customer service
2) Fast, friendly communication
3) Realistic photos that represent the coral extremely well
4) Professional packaging
5) Follow-up after sale
6) A guarantee to take care of things if something should go wrong in shipping
I think these are all things that buyers here at R2R should look for when buying from sponsors / vendors. Ian is setting a great example for all vendors in the hobby and I am very pleased with this transaction. This isn't my first order from Reef Odyssey, nor will it be my last.
Thanks Ian. A++++ all around.:bigsmile:
