Here they are for now! I will attempt operation blenny tomorrow once the coral has settled.

Blenny removal… SUCCESS!
Here he is in his new home downstairs :)

And look who I found whilst reshaping the tank! He’s Atleast an inch long now, if not bigger and seems to be outlasting what I expected to be his life span.

Here’s the Montipora digitata this morning, absolutely stunning piece and look at the gold specks it has on the lower polyps!
CC0A0106-92AA-4498-8D2D-5B677D097DA0.jpeg

And now the Mili, absolutely beautiful polyps and looking nice and bushy, the second was nipped at by the blenny so he hasn’t got a full polyp extension but hopefully with no more blenny all of the coral will open up more.

Look whose enjoying their new home!
C9360E06-73D1-4D2C-BC6D-7BE675818065.jpeg

Man I’m glad I’m not doing as many SPS in the 4’ as I want in the nano. It gives me the best of both worlds AND I can have reef safe with caution fish that I may not be able to have in one of the tanks.
Plus, I love the personality of this blenny but it’s just one of the fish that will be after the coral.

I also did a quick transfer of fish today. My Naoko was looking rather weak and damaged in the nano so I figured as the 4’ may have a better water quality in terms of stability I should move him into that tank. He’s now gliding quite happily with the flow, and still eating so I hope I can heal him naturally instead of NEEDING a QT.
This is the best photo of the injury I could get tonight (will get a better photo tomorrow). I have very little experience with diseases, even in the LFS we mainly faced the same issues of Ich/Velvet, flukes and spinal injuries.

I bring great news on the naoko!
He’s healing up very nicely. The white marks are extremely hard to spot unless you know they’re there. He’s also now using the whole of the 4’ tank and seems MUCH happier now. Seems to love swimming around the larger wrasses :)

I’m giving L. wudemanni another shot. Hopefully I don’t end up with another SPS loving animal.
Photo is from him going into the tank yesterday, I haven’t spotted him yet today.

Yeah, I’m going to try him with aiptasia but if he doesn’t eat it then that’s alright.
Hopefully he does eat the aiptasia though as it’s becoming a bigger issue.

along with the heatwave I’m still suffering (My area has had drought for 40 days now, and the tanks temperature is 28-30 degrees C which has began to harm one of the newer millis).

Left the tank alone for 2 days, and I come back to two bleaching Montipora and 1 knocked off Acropora.

Sometimes it’s not all too great when it comes to leaving a tank in someone else’s care, unfortunately I think I’ve lost my Sunset montipora spongoides. The digitata may come round but I’m not too sure.

I tested my phosphates and they’re sat up at 0.07 unfortunately.

Doing the water change now and already spotted something that may be coming back for a round 2

I’m now done with the water change and didn’t come across one but two dead moths that were decaying.

What’s coming back for round 2? I have trouble knowing what I’m supposed to be looking at.

It looks to be cyano, I’ll keep an eye on it however it’s got some very good spots that it’s found in the tank.

Ah, I actually did see that! Thanks for clarifying!

Good luck! Let me know how it works out with the cyano.

I commend you for being so transparent in your journey with acros. You are doing the best you can!

Looks who I’ve seen out and about tonight!
D3DAECF7-14E1-471C-9E97-D1A508F3167F.jpeg

There is one unfortunate issue I’ve started to find. Half of my fish have vanished and I’m now left with;
- Stonogobiops yasha
- Gobiodon acicularis
- Macropharyngodon bipartitus
- One Trimma tevegae

I might not have mentioned this as I thought it may have just been them hiding and they’d come out soon however it’s been a few days (if not a week+) and still no sign of the other guys. So for now I have potentially 3 missing fish;
- Discordipinna griessingeri (Hes done this before though so I’m not overly worried)
- Koumansetta hectori
- Second Trimma tevegae

I’m assuming the hectori is gone as I did notice he had vanished a while ago. As for the second Tevegae, he did start to look extremely skinny (MUCH skinnier than the other tevegae he was with) so it may have been something internal that I just didn’t catch in time.

Well… the bag is sealed! Told my LFS that I’d go to pick up the tank this weekend :)
I’ll continue to use this thread as it’s actually a 90 litre (Or in US Gallons, 23 gallons). It’s just longer than my max nano so I figured I’d go for it, I believe it’s a 1.5’x18”x18” tank, it could be 2.5 feet long though - I’m not 100% sure.

Nice congrats. What’s going in the new tank?
I may try to find a specific species of Centropyge for the main show piece and potentially hunt down a couple of Eviota lachdeberei as well as another Tevegae or 2.
As for the other species I’m not 100% sure yet, I just know I still want a goby heavy tank.

Now I have an almost exact confirmation on the tank dimensions I can plan a nice stock idea.
Also, I picked it up today! I don’t know when I’ll set it up though.
I believe the dimensions are;
3’x18”x1’

Here it is, I think I will leave it here unless I can upgrade the cabinet my Max Nano is on (It’s started to rot so it needs replacing anyway) before I get this tank wet. Also, yes I did keep the stickers (I may get rid of the bottom two however I love the sticker that the LFS added).
The reason it’s not wet yet is due to a few pieces missing.

Well, I settled for it to stay there as the desk it’s on is the perfect height to have it as a top down tank as well as a side on tank.
I also plan to try and draw a coral reef on the desk and have the tank as a natural looking reef that shows off the colours.
