Some whiter photos of my G. melanospilos

Still not fully reverting and he does appear to be remaining in that state of being a sub male.

This system just went through a move a month ago. The move was a success and all fish survived. Hopefully the angels allow me to add more softies to the tank. The initial toadstools as you can see have been hit very hard, but they are alive still.

Very nice, I must assume that you change to a larger tank. What was the process to stress all these fish as little as possible? They look pretty good.

Same tank, relocated across the city.

It was quite the operation. Water was kept clean for fish bags and buckets to transfer the fish. Rock was moved separately. All sand (kitty litter) was thrown away. I’ll never do sand again in a tank.

Had plenty of freshly mixed saltwater at the new location and kept as much water as I could to move over.

All angels were actually caught with a rubber webbed fly fishing net to avoid any gill spines being caught in netting. Biodigest was dosed after the move to help keep the microbiome sustained.

What angels are there?
I can spot a pair of imperators and a conspiculatus but can’t make out the rest.

Yep. I planned out the best roll of the dice I could pairing the emperors. It worked. They’ve been together since November. 7 months now.

Emperor pair
Queen
Conspicillatus

Then a powder blue & gold rim tang hybrid as well (wrong thread I know)

I love the hybrid Powder Tangs, I figured it was a 50/50 draw between Queen and Grey.

Great to hear the plan to pair the imperators went well though. One of my dream angels but it’s a nightmare to get the tank needed for them.

How did you manage to find a juvenile blue face?! I’ve only ever seen mature specimens and all the juveniles I’ve seen labelled as them were the koreans.

After a horrendous photo shoot with the wrasses I figured to go easy and go with the one fish that won’t dart to the opposite end of the tank when trying to get a photo.
@Tcook here you go ;)

They are a great genus of angels!
They really are, I’d love to find a Semifasciatus female or even have room for a trio of different genicanthus (one Mel, one Semi and one Lamarcki).

Decided I’m going to give an Angel one last shot. I think the last few attempts have been unsuccessful due to aggression. I’m going to order a medium Flame Angel and then also introduce one other fish to hopefully suppress the aggression
What other fish are in the tank?

A springeri Damsel, two spot blenny and pink streak wrasse. I think the damsel is the culprit
Yes. I had a Starki in my 120 and it was a bit aggressive towards certain fish. If you trade in the damsel I would suggest a cherub angel. Have one in my 20. I think your tank ( a 25?) is a bit small for a flame.

I did have a cherub. I may go that route again because I liked the size. I was going to set up a second tank but now I’m kind of thinking about possibly going a little bigger. My tank is the IM peninsula 20 but I’d like to move up to their new 40 long
