I don’t thinks so. My fishes are primary in my tank. I don’t have expensive corals. Just clams and anemones. Nothing bother my carpets unless they want to die. And nothing bothers the clams much.
both species hardly peck at corals other than the Kenya tree, but not enough to be useful at control this pest Coral. They just love flakes and pellets and I feed my tank 8 times a day so they hardly have to eat anything else.

I may consider one if I can get a 6’ tank in the next move.

@i cant think If you are worried that your angels can bother your corals, something that Copps always says is that you try to keep your corals in optimal conditions, generally when there is an annoyance of an angel towards a coral it's because it shows signs of stress or begins to die, so keeping your reef tank completely healthy will reduce the chances of that happening, plus when you're quarantining the fish, feed many times a day with the food of your choice, that helps even more so they get used to it to what you are going to offer them in their diet, and hopefully no coral will be damaged.

I’m not really worried about coral but more the fact I already have a Genicanthus Angel but also some of the more aggressive fish.

I'm pretty excited about what I just saw a few moments ago, I just want to catch my breath, it looks like Mr. Weng is trying to breed Centropyge hotumatua, unless what I saw is some faded Joculator angelfish, this is spectacular.

Just gotta hope the price for these guys isn’t going to be the same as a Tesla if he is trying to breed them.
They are truly beautiful fish though!!

So similar to the other rare CB angelfish, I know that it’s hard to breed and raise these fish but surely if you want to lessen the amount that come from the wild then you should really be lowering the pricing MUCH more than the wild price? I mean I saw a Biota YT for sale and an Indonesian YT at the same time, I know which one I would’ve gone for (It’s not the CB one for sure).

You have a good point, but IMO, these fish can continue to have a high cost mainly due to the scarcity of them, they still do not reproduce in large masses like clownfish which are cheap and are found everywhere, and as there are angels and other fish bred in captivity, in the process there are many who did not make it and that represents losses for those who carry out this task, which is not easy at all.

Well, the regal angel never made it out of quarantine. Never ate. It goes around searching for food and pecking at stuff like the silicon, pvc, glass, heater... but never the mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, masstick, oyster or clam. What a difficult fish.
Did you try seafood porridge or LRS foods?

i don't know seafood porridge. But i will try LRS next time. I have a red sea regal on hold at a lfs. Its going through quarantine and being trained on mysis. I am hoping he trains the fish to take pellets.
Basically LRS are seafood porridge but with a few more ingredients, at least from what I've read. Try that next time, some finicky fish can't resist those foods, I can't get LRS but I buy a porridge made in an LFS.

I currently have a 6 inch Blue Face and I am getting ready to add a 5 inch Imperator after it gets out of QT.
I wonder how that's going to work out? I'm kind of nervous. Thoughts?
