Yes they’re extreme jerks lol. My last pair went to a new home cause I couldn’t clean the tank hah

I started with 4, but once they hit about 4 inches long the tank (75 gallon) became too small for them and fighting started. Athanasius there ended up king of the hill.

Yeah once they reach maturity if you don’t have a whole bunch they will pick each other apart, and once they pair for spawning it’s even worse even if you’ve a tank full. Little demons.

This was my pair. They spawned all the time. Fantastic parents, though. They’d be raising two or theee batches of different stages together. They even tucked the little ones in bed, on the Java fern lol. Was adorable.

Been home from vacation 10 minutes and I have found all fish alive and well, tanks still full of water, and no puddles on the floor. All in all, nothing bad seems to have happened.
