All of you who has stocking ideas for my 40breeder.
im thinking my 2 clowns
Maybe an angel
I want to do a wrasse or two
Maybe Midas blenny
And quarter small yellow tang or tomini which I would grow out to like 3-4” and then trade in.
open to all suggestions!

I had to look up the dimensions of a 40 b, you trixy colonists and your little gallons, not a yellow tang even at what I call baby sized which is an inch or less, as for a dwarf angel really just which ever stays the smallest as they are very active grazers.

Don’t forget local blennies and gobies. You have access to them and they stay small, have loads of personality and most are reef safe.

Hmm. My lfs which is ran by a well known guy in the reefing community said I would be good with a quarter sized yellow for 6mo to a year because of my open scape and they would love to trade when the time comes to rehome. I think I should (maybe) Be fine as long as I have a solid plan when the time comes

Not really looking to get locally caught due to parasites unless I set up a Qt tank and that right now is out of the question

Agreed. Pygmy or cherub but with caution in reefs. I housed a coral beauty in my 40 breeder for a few years before upgrading to my 210 gallon display. It used every inch of the tank. As my hammer colonies started to grow I could see its overall useful space decline. As you suggest I too agree with your recommendation on the smaller ones if at all possible or just forego all together. I think a flameback is on the smaller side although again hit or miss.

40 breeder is a great tank but a lot of it depends on the amount of rock, corals, and coral growth. Space gets used up fast as it matures.

I have grown fish out for people, I get attached, do what you want and be happy that they will go on to new homes due to your care. :)

Yeah that’s what I love about my lfs. The worker said he would buy them from me for his 8 and 15ft tanks! And he said I’m always welcome to come take a look whether my fish are there or not

I think this may be cyano? Not sure though. Am I able to turkey bast the sand like I did in my last tank or will that make this worse?

Well........

Ok back to the algae clip. I use suction cups from amazon and not the ones that come with the clips. Have to find the link. They are deeper, so to speak and are a pain to remove lol. Works great though, as the cups that come with the clips are horrible.

These. They are meant to hold wreaths to glass doors or door windows. Remove the metal clip and the tab is perfect for the hole in the clip. Stole some of my wife’s a while back lol.

Sunday I got a nem labeled as bta in reality was lta. I thought i found a purple bta for 39.00

Yesterday I returned the pumps to normal flow.

This morning I removed the support rocks.

I'm a nervous Nelly. I had heather check on the little tike. Still fully opened and fluffy. The mouth is little puckered.
