Actually it does help with bristle worms. Helps make sure u get everything out

All the snails are dead or dying. At lfs will replace. Called them up he said half of they got yesterday was dead.

Bright side the dead snails where made short work of by the hermits. Any bits of flesh escaped the fish where picking it off.

Lost his jewels and got put in the cone of shame all on the same day. Poor pumpkin.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Soooooo........we found out when a mostly stock bottom end Volvo 2.5t I5 will blow up. 38 lbs of boost lol. Broke 3 rods, but the pistons look good. By math and air/fuel flow from the data log, the motor made about 900 Hp before it popped lol. Bad thing was, 0 detonation or spark knock until the rods broke lol.

Waste gate line split yesterday while doing a full throttle pull to tune the car.

Luckily I have a fully built and sleeved 2.5 (now a 2.3) that was planned to be put in an old Volvo 240. Now Damian’s is going to have it in his car. Kinda glad and kinda sad. He will have a motor that is capable of over 1000hp, be tuned for about 500, so it should last a long time. This time around all lines will be stainless and hard piped. The wastegate line location is way to close to the exhaust manifold. I am also going to build a spark and fuel cutoff for the tune. Should have already had an overboost setting done, but didn’t.

With all that said, the 7’ frag tank is getting no attention this weekend lol.

Yeah but just running for a little at 900hp and 38lb of boost is impressive. Imagine that block built ;)

Motor is out, engine bay is pressure washed and new motor about to go in.

I think I have done this too many times. Book time is 12 hours. That is using a lift and air tools. Well my 850r is on the lift and we have no room in the garage, so all hand tools and regular engine hoist. Total time so far, 4 hours.
