I figure its that time of the year. We have all seen your lights over your tank, now lets see your lights on your house.


I go a little overboard on my house. All my lights are computer controlled using Light-O-Rama

we are so crazy that TLC filmed a part of a show called invasion of the christmas lights at our house.

That's awesome bob... Just watched that show a couple nights ago on tlc... My garage is packed full of lights but none on the house... Just haven't been in the mood with trying to find employment... I need to get some up my 3 little ones keep asking me what's up..:sad:

I've gotta ask... between a reef tank and all those lights, how much does your electricty bill run each month? I hope that radio station sponsors you for the advertisement and helps cover the cost!

my normal electric bill is about 150 a month, when the lights run, it costs about an extra 400 for the christmas season


as far as the radio station. I own it haha. i took a small belkin fm trasmitter and modified it with a longer antenna. i have the music playing with anoutdoor speaker and youc also tune your car radio to 88.7 fm to hear it

Well so much for that idea, lol. I would have guess that it'd be more between all the lights and the compressors for the inflatable decorations. Are they all the LED lights to help cut down on the juice?

i usually decorate my neighbors yards on both sides but because of my back surgeries i have downsized a bit.

a few years ago i moved to about 75% led lights, the problem is that almost all of the leds on the market are junk. I have lost over 90% of my leds because of corrosion. Do not ever buy leds for outside if the bulbs are replaceable. They use aluminum leads in the bulb and copper connections in the socket. As soon as the tiniest bit of condensation gets in there, they corrode. I have had sets of leds go bad after 5 days outside.

I actually had home depot send me a $500 gift card for all the problems i had with leds

If you noticed the big red donation box out front, we take donations for children's hospital of pittsburgh and have collected almost $18,000 over the years

That is awesome lights you have there... I used to love to light up my house. Since some kids vandalizing my decoration one year, I lost my dedication and now just few lights hang on trees and roof edge.
I love you did some good deed for children hospital. That is much admirable... God bless you for helping out the kids. Merry Christmas.
