There are lots of people that keep mantis shrimp in a fuge. Just make sure the mantis has enough space for a good home. You don't want to put an O. Scyllarus in a 10 gallon fuge but an N. wennerae would do great in that size.

How deep is the sand? Usually if they cant dig down they'll curl up into a ball beside liverock. Mine has about 4inch of tomini that he burrow throughCan you guys post some pics of the setups? I have a mantis that a buddy was going to flush so I set it up in a 14g biocube. The lighting is low, has that black beauty sand (after reading I should probably change that out) and a few large rocks. I don't ever see him out and about. Just sits curled in a ball in a cave. Had him for 3 months now. Multed twice.
