Well, it's been over a week and the moyeri still hasn't popped up.
Starting to street a little bit.
I’ve had a leopard in QT for over 3 weeks now. I have only ever seen it in the morning. That is concerning to me because I have only been able to feed it 3 times since I have gotten in because I’m not home when it is out. I go to work at 6AM

I had this same issue. You could leave live pods or live brine in the tank if it’s a cycled QT tank. Mine transitioned to EST after about three weeks. I was late to work trying to feed it a couple of times! Good luck. I know it’s a stressful situation.

It’s just odd because I got it from the store and it was out all the time in the store.

My male and female leopard wrasses. i got them both as small females, maybe 1.5”/longv, maybe 5 years ago.. the male is now around 4” and the female maybe 3”. he chases her around occasionally but she has lots of rock to hide. the yellow cori’s i got very small 1” or so and is around 3” now. he gets along fine with everyone.

Actually a Halichoeres leucoxanthUs! Not a Coris wrasse (an unfortunate common name).

For sand sleeping wrasses, they don’t just dive into the sand and parted the sand like they do water. Actually they are next to the sand and vibrate very quickly. This vibration sorta part the sand and they can swim right through the sand. If there is a rock or something hard, they cannot. They are not going to injured their spine by diving to to a hard bottom. They still can swim very fast and run into the glass or bottom or hit the lid and break their spine, but not because of diving into the sand.

Anyone want to play a game of guess who?
Who attempted to photobomb this photo yesterday?

P. kaleidos
For very quick ID, it is the yellow instead of black tail that separates a Bluehead from a Splendid. This plus the fact that I know you have Kaleidos while I have Splendends. 🤣:)

Anyone wanna help suggest one wrasse over another out of some picks? I’m struggling to narrow down to 3 based on appearance alone

Hooded Flame
Rose Band
Chaoti (conditioned)
Pintail
Red Velvet
Rhomboid

Top 3 Picks:
Chaoti, Rhomboid, Pintail- you get a bunch of colors here, but great personalities

Next 2 in:
Hood Flame, Rose Band- also good choices but if you only do 3 these are next to on list

Out:
Red Velvet

I have had all but the Rose Band and Red Velvet in my systems.

How’s your hooded? I can’t tell if I like the rose bad or the hooded more. I also liked their colors more than a pin tail but the pintail seems to shimmer pretty nicely.

Since I can’t do a ton of fish it feels like a final commitment, no wonder people just keep getting bigger tanks lol.
