The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

Hey guys,
. I need some help. I bought a leopard Wrasse about 3 weeks ago. Since we got him I haven't seen him eat anything. I see him picking on the rocks and back wall. We have tried flakes, PE pellets, and a frozen food from WWC (homemade mix). He also hides all day long. He comes out in the morning when I wake up, but by 1pm he is gone until the next day. I'm just worried that I'm going to loose him. He does get bullied by my Emperor Angel some. I don't know if that is the stem of the problem. Please help.
Sorry about the pic.

Order California live blackworms from:

https://www.aquaticfoods.com/LiveBlackwormsM.html

Get the smallest order which is unfortunately 1/8th lb for $37.99 with included overnight shipping. Seems expensive but that will last you a looong time as long as you rinse them daily.
If you order quickly they will be there tomorrow morning.

If it doesn't eat those it likely won't eat anything so keep trying and it will either eventually come around or pass unfortunately, but I believe it is your best bet. IMO it is the best food we can give our fish for a variety of reasons and 95% of fish can't resist them.

Try offering food lightly 3x a day while she is out if you can. If she eats them keep feeding 3x a day but don't stop each feeding until she can't eat anymore. I only say lightly originally because she may ignore them first few times.

A baby Aussie tusk :)
They grow fast and when he grew he will have some expensive snacks. When I keep my Tusk I always counts my little ones. Knowing that eventually I will come up short.

You can try giving frozen bloodworms...

M. Biparitus
Could I add one of these to my 185 with a melanarus & a male Redeye.
Thanks
What species do you mean by "redeye"? Cirrhilabrus solorensis?
If so, should be fine.

As suggested, live blackworms are a great place to start.
Being bullied by any tank mate to the point of being forced into hiding is a problem. If that's the case here, it will certainly bring a negative effect.
How large is that tank? It looks like it might be a biocube, and if so, is quite too small for both the wrasse and the angel.
Anyone have one of these velvets had one in my last wrasse tank but have not seen any available in a long time.

I've had one in the past too, but they are pretty sporadic in availability today. They do still pop up in small numbers in the supply chain without warning.

Anyone have success with both an A. meleagrides and a A. chrysocephalus in the same system?
