My earls is becoming a bit less camera shy. I still haven’t gotten a good one of him when he’s excited though. His colors are so much more vivid then.

The ban happened just 2 years ago it's possible that this wrasse was collected prior to the ban and was in someone's private collection before being offered. Fairy wrasses can live several years.
There was/is someone that advertised Hawaii fish but me and others contacted them with no response. Also over the summer someone on fb was taking preorders for Hawaii fish as they were going on vactaion. A lot of shadyness. And we wonder why we can have nice things

We really need a face palm emoji again. I wonder how many of these people are just scammers.

I wonder. The one I think is more of membership and the other seemed legit. I did see a lot of yellow tangs and chevrons go for sale during the **** down. Bigger groups of fish so not from an aquarium idk

I wonder if some of these are traps that are seen in other hobbies including one that uses lead projectiles. You order something can-like and a federal official with cuffs shows up, not the product.

Any suggestions on what wrasse would do well in my more aggressive tank? H Melanarus and Coris gaimard at the moment and still being indecisive with the dragon. Large fairies? Another coris? A Thalassoma? I know this is usually a peaceful wrasse thread but I can’t just have two wrasse in this tank.

Thanks! I've never considered a parrot before. I have considered a Tusk but have never seen one of the right size. They are either tiny juveniles or ones that are too big for my other fish. I'd want one similar in size to my current wrasse.

So I’m not the only one considering a Tusk ;)

It does make sense... I just wish there was more than one pretty one. Why are all the other species so bland?

I don’t understand the love for them… They’re just brown fish.
Well, except Choerodon zamboagnae but that’s not often seen in captivity.
