There's something fishy about this build...

Oof. Are all reefers enablers? :grinning-squinting-face:

The store told me not to feed the macaw because it bites. I brought walnuts and pellets, and I made a lot of progress with him in just a few minutes. I got him to come out of his cage.

He’s terrified of perches. Looks like someone used it in a negative way. Probably because they were scared of getting bitten.

I want the bird because I want the challenge of a big parrot with a dangerous beak. I want to challenge of taming it. I’m actually really good at taking parrots. I tamed flea market cockatiels which were basically wild.
I’m a horrible enabler. Be careful with bird trauma it’s a real thing and makes it hard to rehab.

Just throwing this out there: Hedgehogs are quiet.
Ok so I’ll add hedgehogs to the list of animals I want
Also on the list sugar gliders and chinchillas

Wouldn’t mind another snake ……

Blue and Golds are prettier to me!

This is the guy. He looks a bit smaller than average, but I think he likes me and I like his size. He gave me a happy look when I went back to the store to snap a photo.

I could totally be misreading the situation and be anthropomorphizing. Maybe the bird isn’t calling me to be his forever lover.

Get a group of flying squirrel instead of a sugar glider. Much much better pets

Your need a lyrebird

Unfortunately I would have to break several laws to acquire one

But that would be awesome lol

Should have said had…. I had a ball python - two actually- raised mice for their dinner….fun stuff…need 3 tanks for that alone lol! And the males will definitely eat the babies

Also had two iguanas …..

This was all before I moved to Colorado - I found them all good homes prior to moving

How many is a group?

- scratches out sugar glider and writes down flying squirrel-

I like buying any animal in pairs or more - so they have company of their own kind

@Slocke

I wonder if they can mimic words—that could be the best thing - unfortunately mine would only know how to curse

I mean if they can do a chainsaw and a camera they can definitely do words, right?

I would think

But I’ve made mistakes before

A@Slocke a quick search shows I would be breaking Colorado laws by owning flying squirrels- which to me is more reason to get em
