I was saying the macaw that I like was nowhere near 8K. I wasn’t trying to say he was lying about the African Grey price. I don’t really know much about Greys. They never really interested me.

Dog brought it to me. Cold, wet, and covered in fleas. Had to massage its heart back, and tube feed it but it miraculously survived.

I just didn’t want Eli to assume I was not believing him.

Your price did show lower than 8K though lol. Maybe it’s a geographical thing? Or maybe his vendor is price gouging?

It will probably be the first puppy I’ll get since my American Eskimo passed away 13 years ago. And he will always be the smallest dog I’ve ever had. He was given to me by a friend when I need the company of a furry animal more than I realized. The 2 of the 3 I currently have were not intentional.
Lunafur - met at a dog park - the person with her said “ I don’t know if I can keep her (she had two other dogs) my BF will let me, but I rescued her from someone who was keeping her chained up in the back yard” - so of course I gave her my number - large dogs have a hard time finding homes once they have gone to a shelter….and this was where the lady said she would go….and I said nope she can live with us!!!

The same goes for my GSD Oona - expect it was a girl I worked with - she got her a a pup but didn’t have the time to devote to her and she was having issues (she chewed her tail so bad - and apparently no one noticed till it became infected) that they had to cut it off. She said she was going to bring her to the shelter - and bam I have 3 dogs!

Maple - my BF said he would get me a dog for my birthday (2018) and I was looking at dogs from puppy to not so puppy - and on my birthday her face came up on Craigslist- we drove 4 hours to get her ….. I feel in love with her face and refused to find another dog lol

For Belgians I strongly suggest getting it from a reputable breeder.

This is true of GSDs as well … and many other large breed / pure breed dogs. And is definitely something I will do when the time comes
