This is it. My last build thread

I ran Versas for my AWC and had issues with them, seems like they lose calibration easily or continuous AWC after days and days affects them. Multiple times one pump will shut off randomly and it will take me days to figure it out. I have a my fish stuff in a closet under the stairs which I only check when needed. Maybe in your case you spot issues quicker.

I ended up getting ac infinity pumps for 94 bucks each and I wanted a controller which I think was 60. They change 3 gallons daily and no issues so far.

Thank for the heads up. I'll keep an eye on the calibration. I hope they hold up but we'll see. I did move them to the basement after I found out they are supposed push not pull. I saw something on ecotech's site stating they work 3 times harder pulling than pushing.

Wondering if I'm running out of food for my big snails? I have 3 about this size along with two pincushion urchins. They don't normally come out during the day which is why I'm wondering if they're running out of food. I can't feed them because the tangs would eat what ever I put in. Feeding them at night is not an option because my naso doesn't sleep. I had few sleepless nights this week and stayed out in the LR and the naso never stopped cruising around. Maybe I'll turn the light on over my 40g that I keep live rock in and see if I can get some algae growing. No fish so I could feed them if needed. Being big bulldozers I can't really put them in one of the other tanks.

Found out the cord on the tunze powerheads doesn't have to be centered at the top. It looks like that's where it should be so I've kept it there. Problem is I can't get the surface agitation I want in the MP100. The other night I decided to add a Nero 5 between the orcas aimed at the surface. It worked great. Then the next day SWA.com had a video up showing the tune reef360 and I see their oracas aimed upward. I took a screenshot and zoomed in and see the cords on the side. Not sure why I thought the cord had to be at top 🤔 The Nero is back on the shelf.
Two of my favorite cuc members.

And now we have agitation

Saw this critter in the sump of the 100. Not sure if it's a limpet or chiton but I think limpet because the shell isn't hinged. I had tiny limpets in the 300 I moved out of so I don't know if it grew in there or came in on the GLR. It's about 3/4" I'll probably
Leave it in the sump and maybe put a little nori in on a piece of rock and see how big I can get it to grow. I love finding critters.

Test day. Been running some GFO to keep it under 0.9 I don't think I'll ever see much lower levels unless I starve the fish.

I thought about dabbling with carbon dosing then thought why? If I didn't test I wouldn't know they were high from the looks of things.

And I clean the ATS. These guys like it better than nori but the two tangs in the 100 don't care for it and prefer nori. 🤷

MP100 video (crappy) to record growth. I figured my acros would stall after being moved but they didn't skip a beat. I've had to increase my AFR from 20ml daily at the beginning up to 50ml due to increased consumption. I have ammonium on a doser at 20ml spread out over 24 hours which is keeping N detectable and maybe helping with stability. I'm also manually dosing 10ml of PO4 daily to keep phosphate detectable. I'm doing very small random WCs to vacuum detritus. No ICP or chasing trace elements, just keeping it simple since that seems to work best for me. I think people get caught up in all that because they can. Maybe it's interesting and fun for them, not because it's necessary.
I have some small patches of bubble algae showing up on some rocks. I'm thinking about trying a small foxface. I have emerald crabs but I think the flow is to much for them to come out and climb around. If they let go they get blown to the end of the tank and have to fight their way back to the rocks.

PS. I'm loving the two orca 6105s on the 330. I have them sweeping across the front which blows all the detritus back under the rocks which was the goal. I have a pretty large red xenia that I use to judge flow and it's getting blown in all directions and growing. My 10 yo bubble coral hasn't been fully inflating. I'm wondering if all the stuff growing under it is causing some irritation.

I normally tend to leave stuff alone but this is my oldest piece so I want to try and help it along if possible. I think I'm going to pull it and clean all the stuff growing next to the flesh. As long as I'm careful and don't damage the flesh it should be ok and maybe it will help?
