Timmyrules dwarf seahorse tank!!!!

man set backs suck right! never fun to loose your fishy friends.
hopefully you got the heater and bristle worms figured out.

keep us posted I do enjoy these little guys some day i'll have a SH tank.

This time, when I setup the tank, I want only live stuff…I trust no chemicals/plastics/Chinese heaters. So I went and picked up some macro algae! And my lfs gave me a pretty good deal! I got two softball sized globs for 25 bucks! I have been using the tank as a frag storage tank…so I am considering leaving a montipora digi in there, it’s a small frag. And possibly a chalice. Idk. :thinking-face: If it is gonna affect the seahorses in any way, I’ll definitely take them out. I wanna be 110% setup for success this time around!

Here’s the tank!!!! I did leave some of the corals in there…if they become a problem, I can always remove them. It doesn’t look as aesthetically pleasing as I wanted it to, but I think it’ll work :)

(Waters kinda cloudy right now cuz I just changed the water)

Here’s a pic from this morning!
I added a little more macro algae, so the seahorses will have lots of hiding places and things to grab onto with their tails!

alrighty guys! It’s been a minute! Turns out, keeping macro algae is wayyyyy harder than I originally anticipated. About half of the Caulerpa I bought died….after that I watched a ton of videos, and I got my YouTube degree in keeping macro algae. :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:

Then I bought more macro algae’s, (I forgot most of their names.) the only one I remember the name of is my fav, which would be the mermaids fan…I’ve been trying to get the macro algae to stabilize and start growing, and it seems to be working! I’ve pretty much neglected the tank. But every in there seems to be THRIVING! There’s even some sort of macro algae sprouting up and growing in the filter.

What a rollercoaster of a thread so far! I hope the seahorses do well. Best of luck!
Thank you! Yes, this has been a roller coaster! Spanning over 7 months!!!! I certainly hope they do well once I get them!!!

Did the seahorse tank work? You left me on the edge of my seat here! Lol.
I wanted to do one myself but I'm a little nervous to hatch my own bbs.
