Was in process of taking tomini tang of of QT and putting in DT saw this white on his underbelly. anyone know what this is?

Kind of looks like velvet...hopefully not
@Jay Hemdal
Did it have this in the QT? Seems unlikely it would appear in the bag.
If it is velvet, quick treatment is imperative

Its near impossible to assess a fish in a fish bag. Need a better pic as it may be bacterial but bag makes it hard to pinpoint anything

it’s been in QT alone for 14 days. i did not notice it when i put him in Qt, it’s only on one side of body. there is copper in tank.

this is where my concern comes the marks aren’t noticeable when he’s in the tank.
Not seeing much other than what May be gram positive bacterial and could stem from the QT water . See how fish colors out being released into display. Assuming you are changing the QT water, in the event it would be bacterial, Kanaplex by seachem will address this but does not look anything that jumps out and says" treat me now"

Thanks i’m obviously concerned about bringing something in to my DT. I put him back in the QT tank i’ll watch him for another week before i make the move. He eats well and seems to be fine other wise.
