Anyone have experience with these units? trying to switch to 2x250 watt halides on my tank. I am in canada and am struggling to find anything, budget around $1000.00 (less preferred) . Was looking and thought maybe I could buy 2 of these units. Anyone using them?

Those can be alot of light and you can't exactly turn them down. There a bit older style light recommend you use mostly the t5's and the halide for just a few hour's. If you get them. Very effective though! Happy reefing!

Cheaper Chinese units. The quality is commensurate with the price. I doubt that they are UL listed. The ballasts are probably not m80 spec.

Will Hamilton not ship to Canada?

Get two of these - pretty sure that they will ship to Cananda. Get 250w bulbs and a ballast. Hang some ReefBrite XHOs on there if you want. Should be under budget.

I’m not, but I have bought from the seller and the items were as described. I would think it would be a good fixture.
