I’ve had this torch for about a month, but lately it seems unhappy. I’ve had a spike of phosphates recently but added media to decrease them and did a 20%wc. Does it look like it’s dying?

What's your full tank parameters? :)
Salinity: 1.024
Ph: 7.4
Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: ~10
Kh: 8.6
Mg: 1140
Ca: 390
Po: ~0.7

Tank is 50L and we have a clown, a filefish, a firefish and a small mandarin. Phosphates have been high for the last week and phosphate media does not seem to do the job.. I’m new to this so any advice would be greatly appreciated

torch is a finicky coral, not really a beginner coral, but it hasn't died in the past month and still looks ok in your pic, so thats a good thing, I would guess its still acclimating to your tank, it could days, weeks, or months for corals to fully acclimate. I would just leave it and keep the water as clean as possible and the parameters as stable as possible.

On another note, the filefish will outgrow that tank and the mandarin might run out of food in that tank size, keep an eye on them.

Thanks for the help! Yes the filefish was introduced to get rid of aiptasia and now that it’s gone we will look to find him a new home soon. The mandarin thankfully eats frozen food so trying our best to keep him full with what we have.

Although you already know, you need to get your phosphate down, .05-.1, magnesium up to 1400 and calcium up to 425-450.
Other than reduce feeding for phosphates (I might have accidentally given too much coral food recently so that probably didn’t help either), what do you recommend to fix magnesium and calcium?

Your salt box should say what calcium and magnesium mix to. I checked fresh made salt water to what my box said it was spot on. I would suggest increasing water change frequency and amounts. My tank is fully stocked and weekly water changes don’t get me to my targets so I dose both magnesium and Kalkwasser. You may not need to do that. My torches, hammers and frogspawn seem to thrive with magnesium at 1400 or a little higher.

Alright thanks! Doing a weekly 16% wc but may need to increase the amount. I have a couple hammers and a frogspawn and they seem to be doing great! I guess the torch is a little more sensitive
