hi guys .. i upgraded my tank from a 6 ft to 9 ft tank. after keeping my old fishes in a fiber tank , the new tank is ready . i;ve reused all the live rocks and water but not the sand.
new tank will prob have 60-70 % new water.

my existing fishes will be going in tomorrow

Gold flake
Yellow tang x2
Sailfin tang
Hippo tang
Sunburst anthias
Barlett Anthias x6
Helfrichi x2
Mandarin
Scooter blenny
Yellow wrasse
Leopard wrasse
Butterfly copperband
Gem tang
2 blackstorm

I’ve recently bought more fishes which is in my lfs.
Achilles tang
Powder blue
Yellow tang x3
Borbonius x3
Flame angel
Atlantic blue tang
Royal gramma x2
Blue spot jawfish
Flame hawk x2

Should I take it from my lfs and add them all together. Or wait til the tank becomes more stable before adding the new fishes,?

The only concern I see is quarantine procedure wasn't mentioned. You name a lot of fish that historically have many problems.

So much money. It would break my heart to see a crash. There're more experienced people that would probably have more strategic ways of implementing the fish. I would go in small groups maybe, wait it out and watch your rockwork because you'll see te warfare play out there with algae and blooms first IME.

i cant think

Main concern from a stock point of view is a powder blue and Achilles, that’s most likely going to become a death sentence to one of them eventually (maybe not instantly but definitely later down the line).

Have any of the new fish been QT? Many of those fish are susceptible to ich and other fast killing pathogens that can wipe out a lot of fish if it got through.
Also that's a huge new bioload if all are being added at once and could overwhelm your current system causing an ammonia spike.
Last issue I see is compatibility since that's a lot of tangs. You may not encounter any issues but something to keep in mind.

I'll let others with more knowledge provide a game plan. Or get advise from the LFS if you find them trustworthy.

Spot on. Would also not just take your LFS word for it if they say fish have been quarantined. You need to know the method used.

thx for the feed back guys . but i dun really qt fishes. thruout my 10 years ive been practicing management. i run 2 55 watts uv (1 in tank and 1 in sump)(thinking of a 3rd one) and ozone. and i keep my fishes well fed . not sure ive been lucky .. but last few rounds of fishes has always been healthy even tho they do show a few spots every now and then. the only time i got a wiped out was because my wife decided to clean my lights for me and dropped the soap into the tank. took the opportunity to get a tank upgrade after.

anyways back to the new tank, from what i was told, since im using all my old rocks and bio media bricks and water, there wont b any cycling even though it'll b 60-70% new water.

just wanna get some advice on the sequence u guys will add the new fishes in. so far my only plan is to add the powder blue and achilles last. the 5 yellow tangs has to go in together 2 old 3 new. any advice will be greatly appreciated :)

With the transfer and addition of so many new fish you're leading to a stressful event. This is when management usually fails and disease or parasites thrive. This compounded by the fish being added being known to have these issues.

I hope it all works out. Still the best advice I can give is to quarantine all fish to prevent such an issue from being in the new tank.
