Hi,

Yesterday when I walked in my living room and looked at my tank. I my heart got a beating lol. The whole display was white and I thought disaster had struck.

When I checked to see what was going on i
accidentally walked it to what it seemed to be one steaming orgy.
They kept it going for like 30 minutes after I detected it.

Here is some short footage and a picture.
I was relieved that in the end it was something positive.

Cool! Tell us about your tank and conditions. I think some people may want to replicate it to get theirs to do the same thing.

Well I have pretty much an basic system.
RSM 250, an algae-reactor an dosing system. Dosing the eazy DSR additives.

I use the patented real reef rock.
Fiji sand

I use the basic red sea lighting schedule.
I check my parameters weekly to adjust dosing when needed.

I have one filter sock and the other one uses aquarium filter .
Deltec skimmer
Extra wave maker in the sump
And 2 gyres in the main system.

I use an very wide range of live foods like arthemea, copodes, live shrimp, chamarus. Ect.

I use an even wider assortment of fresh frozen foods with all kinds of types plankton. Mussels, octopus to much to mention.

Dry foods as well, plankton paste dried algae ect ect.

And I use redsea nopox.

Weekly water change of about 7%.

This happened to me today - trochus snails spent about an hour sending clouds of white liquid into the tank and now 6 hours later the water has gone crazy cloudy and I can’t see the back of the tank - is this normal?!

Yes and it’s great food for coral.
