I'm late to the party. Figures. I have some catching up to do! This is a great thread btw... I never thought I would learn that brandy comes from distilled wine and that it's illegal in some states. Ah-mah-zing!

I'm pretty sure brandy is legal in all 50 states. Distilling your own liquor however IS illegal and I would never condone such behavior.

Also, Welcome to The Deep Blue Sea @Maggie321. As you've already read, we have snacks and drinks on the regular. I'm at work, but feel free to go find something in my liquor cabinet. Not a huge selection but I'm sure you can find something. ;Turtle:)

Creepy when you think your going to see a pretty tank and this is what you read!
Wait until you talk on the phone with her... I'd listen to her. She scares me(she has my address too). Lol

I can't remember if I've welcomed you to The Deep Blue Sea yet, I know I've talked to you on a few of your threads. Anyway, Welcome @CrazyCatGal!

Most of the people @Katrina71 has disappeared usually turn up a month or so later. The rumors of her feeding folks to the Fishes are totally untrue.

Good news folks, Sympodium is half way open today! That means we can start adding a few of the more hardy corals soon. Yes, I used the cheap soft coral as a canary. Friday might be a coral planning and placing day.

Sorry for the washed out blue photos. I swear I'm gonna get some lenses and filters for my phone soon.

Hello from the other side... the right side that nobody sees because there is a frag tank in the way. Photobomb by a hungry Maui... yes, I fed him.

Update on my corals in the frag tank. Blue stag has greened out, but I was expecting that some. Plus we just found out the other week that we had a peak PAR of about 80 in this tank, that'll green out a frag quick with the extra zoos. Probably why we lost the two new acros too. We're slowly increasing that to avoid bleaching anything. Tips are growing already so that's good. Thought it was bare skeleton, but up close inspection shows it's just new skin that hasn't colored up. New skin means new growth, new growth means happy coral. The bonsai has returned to its lovely purple from the pale almost pink. It didn't like the blackout a few weeks ago and took a little while to recover. Sushi acro is becoming one of my favorite pieces. I dont know what it is about it, but it's beautiful. The acros I got from the frag swap in September continue to look meh, two months of low PAR will do that. The milli I had to frag up is most likely a gonner, the other two are hanging on. Everything else is doing great. The acans and duncans are absolutely huge. Stylo and pocci are fluffy. Mushrooms are getting larger, as soon as I clear up some space on my frag racks I'll be cutting them. No plans on putting them in the display.

So far all the SPS is going over, the acans, duncans and I think the trumpet, MAYBE the rasta zoas. Everything else will get traded, sold or given away. Gotta figure out a spot that the BTA would be happy, hit the nail on the head putting it in the frag tank and it never moved. Hopefully we get that lucky in the display.

Surprise! We got fish! It's a trio of flame cardinals. Finally found a schooling fish to add to The Deep Blue Sea, and they'll add some color as well. We have more with the order, but it's shipping out Monday due to turkey day.... Mmm, turkey. (say it like Homer Simpson) I'll wait until the rest get here to tell you about them. These guys are in QT for a minimum of 2 weeks for observation. Everyone looks good so far.

So basically it appears to me that "we" as a "collective" have gone a bit "7 of nine" on the tank inhabitants!? ;)

Yea seriously. We didn’t get a vote! What is this madness. Thinking you can make all these “executive decisions” on your own like its your tank[emoji6]. Pshhh

Speaking of decisions, haven seen your alter ego lately? He die running errands?
