Turtle's Deep Blue Sea

Oh my parents wouldn't have gone for pet chickens either... these were adult decisions, that we decided we didn't really want. If I had someone to take care of them, and roosters would look pretty without crowing at 5am and not stopping for 3 hours... I had cuckoo marans. They had black and white bars and the rooster was a lighter color than the hens. Big guy with a long, pretty tail. Nicest rooster I've been around, wouldn't eat until all the hens were full and never once spurred me.

Looks good @siggy! I haven't had a good craft beer in a while. Is that a lager or more of an ale? Looks kinda lager colored.
Little behind. Try Bells from the kazoo, Michigan(Kalamazoo). My childhood stomping grounds.

I've NEVER had a craft beer, or a lager. I'm not a beer girl.

I feed a friend's chickens and pig when they go on vacation. I may have pepper sprayed the rooster once. :)
Funny you should say that... chickens(actually birds in general) are almost completely immune to the effects of capsaicin. Spraying him in the face wasn't hot, it just scared him.

I knew it wouldn't hurt him, but I really wanted to. He's beautiful, but hateful.

It's ok, I had a black australorp years ago that I knocked out with a shovel... Mike Tysoned him after he spurred me in the shin. Never had another problem out of him until a stray dog killed him.

I was given a pair of angora chickens as a thank you gesture. It was really sweet. I wish I could have kept them.

Macro algae survived the second night! No bleaching detected. I think I might add a few more hours to our light cycle on the H380. I think two more cycles will be good.

Here is our new schedule for the H380. I added another cycle at 0600 and 0700. Tank lights are on from 1100 to 2300.

@najer I got a sweater for Christmas that I ordered from England. I'm showing the love. The whole thing is a Union Jack.

To bed I jus t got up. I think you have your sleeping schedule a bit backwards mate. ;)
@najer did I use it right.
I'd have to agree with you, bo. Working the night shift at the power plant this weekend. 1900-0700 Thursday-Sunday night. It's ok tho, I'm off from the 1st to the 9th, and I get overtime once the clock hits 2018.
