Hello ..
Can someone please tell me the right micron sizes for the first 3 filters in this typhoon RODI? I've used so far 0.5 and 1 micron for the 2 carbon.... But the first carbon block always gets brown in color showing it's clogging faster....

Pic attached. Thx

Dont know but i use a 10 micron sediment, 5 micron carbon block, last is 1micron carbon block

the sediment is just for collecting just that sediment ...dirt whatever...yes it will turn brownish.....still fine

Currently I am using 1 micron on all three filters. Next time I change them, I plan on using 1/2 micron on all of them. I feel the more that those filters remove the longer the RO cartridge will last.

So in general the higher micron goes right and lower micron goes left (3rd)...

In that case the impurities will be filtered again by the 3rd carbon isn't it since it's smaller micron sizes?

I feel like sediment filter should only filter sediment and carbon block shouldn't, they're only for chemical filtration...

If I'm right ..sediment filter should be the smallest micron size of all the 3.
Hope I'm right!?

no if you use sediment as the smallest micron which is the first filter then it will just clog and then the rest filters will be useless. It would collect the majority.

in order of where the water comes into the ro side then;
MY FIRST FILTER AND SO ON: 10 micron sediment, 5 micron carbon block, last is 1micron carbon block then in ro membrane then out to di
That is how mine has always been and last me a year before i change my filters. My di lasts until its color changes or it starts no longer reading zero tds
