Unknown invaders

Hello I’ve just taken some pics of unknown invaders in my overflow chamber in my RSR 250. Can anyone help identify my intruders please and if they’re harmful to my tank inhabitants?

It's not easy to make a firm ID (for me) based on those photos. They are for sure anemones. My semi educated guess is that they are aiptasia and yes, they should be removed. It's not an instant emergency, but soon. So lets call in some more help. #ReefSquad

Maybe you can remove one and put in in a small bowl or cup of tank water to get a better pic.

Is there any tank light going into the overflow where these are? Have you searched the tank to see if you can find any. Aiptasia do spread rather quickly under the right conditions.

Agree aiptasia...they look different colour because they probably don't get much light there....I had a massive outbreak in my overflow ...I just added a peppermint shrimp ...and I nuked the big ones with aiptasiaX

I usually write glass anemone. Pretty sure some scratch their head and think I'm insane. lol

Aiptasia for sure, I have loads of them at the moment. I've been spot treating with Aiptasia-x and/or Kalk paste. My wrasses eat any shrimp I try to put in, I'm too nervous to put a filefish in, and I can't seem to get a copperband through QT...

I agree with Aiptasia , just get a bottle of Aiptasia X and shoot them down! I would stay clear of a FileFish if possible but that is just my experience.... The dang thing ate my torch....
