Thanks for looking. Its hard to tell from the pictures but it comes out from the back wall about half way allowing for lots and lots of cool passageways and caves! I know it looks like just a boring wall but it is a bit more than that.
I still do think there is too much rock in there to allow for coral growth and what not. Once I start to add coral I think a few pieces may end up in the fuge!
Lolol.............as for the super secret project...........well its a secret and a project and its something going in the tank...............stay tuned for updates..........should be pretty amazing if I can pull off whats in my mind!!!!:confident:

Thanks a lot Marvin! Im doing my best to take things slow and do it right this time. Where as all my other tanks in the past have been rushed hodgepodges of parts and pieces!!:shame:

Update!!!!! 9/3
Hanging kit arrived today, hopefully I can get'r done tonight!
Also picked up a McCorskeri Wrasse (sp?) who is already eating Spectrum Pellets and Omega flake! A dope electric pink and bright green chalice frag( need help w/ ID!), a three polyp frag of what I think is Lunar Eclipse but maybe Xmen ( need help w/ ID!) and 16 Astrea snails. I feel super good about the prices I paid too!
Sorry pics suck so hard, point and shoot Kodak V705. Any tips on getting it to submit to my demands would be awesome. Cameras and I generally don't get along very well.
You also will noticed the different coloration or stages of my rock. You can see the vast differance from the white Marco Rock and the season rock. You'll also notice in the picture of the zoo's there appears to be specs of coraline algea already forming on the Marco. Noticed today that the bubbles have disappeared already and much of the brown diatoms are subsiding as well!!

Update 9/6
Well I was blessed last night with an empty house for three hours after work. So I decided to tackle a few projects and check them of the list.
VT battery back up connected. No room for it under the tank so I installed it to a piece of 1/2 wood scrap I had in the garage and set it on the floor behind the tank leaning against the wall. I did this to keep it off the ground if there is a spill, and also to protect the wires from being bent. It about five inches off the ground. Funny thing happened though! Once the wifey got home and I showed her what I had done, she said "whats that big white thing?" "I said oh thats just the 30 battery back up for the pump" Ive never experianced such happiness from her for spending money, other than when I gave her an engadgemnet ring!!?? She smiled big and jumped and gave me a hug!!
I guess shes happy that she no longer has to run to the tool rental shop for a generator when the power goes out and I am at work.
I also mounted and hung the lights with this ultra cool hanging kit from Aquatinics.
I also hung and mounted my LED pods and the MLC module with the RKL unit.
Things still to be done:
-Mesh mod the skimmer
-Order and mount SL2 module
-Set up QT tank
-Set up BRS 2/3 part mixing station
-Order and mount BRS GFO and carbon reactor
-Order and mount secondary circulation fan for lights, fixture only comes with one.
-Thinking of ditching the glass tops and making the clear mesh top?
-Still need to adjust the aquascape as well. I don't like how one of the rocks touches the glass on the left wall. Also want to remove the one rock on the sand that is the Pompeii rock. Should open up the tank a ton, and give it more of a horse shoe shape.
Heres a couple crappy pics. Any advice on working this camera would be appreciated!

Well I just got in a ton of trouble with my son. He said I have poor manners because I didn't properly introduce the fish. The names of the Cromis are Matt and Clifford, and the Wrasse is Corky. There.........!!:ops:

I would definitely ditch the glass top. A mesh screen top would be much better. The gas exchange is cut down with the glass top on and it also reduces the PAR of the lighting as it gets dirty.

Its about three inches tall in some spots. Its not particular to the new rock or the seasoned rock. Its not particular to flow or light as it is high and low......basically everywhere.

raise your alk , it should help alot . and if its really bad you can pull it straight out. immediately take hat you grabbed out of the tank. basically one pinch at a time to minimize any pieces from escaping from your fingers. you can also pull some rocks out and scrub it with a fresh tooth brush and clean them in some salt mixture. i had a bad bloom in my 28 gallon. raising alk and a couple sessions of picking , it cleared up a bunch. tanks lookin tight

Thanks Nater for the advice!! I did a little pruining yesterday and some today!
I think Im going to kick the lights all day Saturday and Sunday and see whats up. I can't detect any phosphates or nitrates with my tests so Im not sure whats up?
Where is the pics?
To help with the algae while you figure out how to stop it get some blue legs, which I think you should have gotten with those rics right? When I got mine they really help with my algae problem. Now with them and some filter media to suck up Phos and silicates and now it is all gone and I just have some regular algea to deal with not Bryopsis or hair algae, nuisance algae.

Thanks James, I did pick up 25 blue legs early this week and did receive probably another 15 more today from CM!
Ive always been a bit gun shy of the phosphate media, heard it leaches back quickly. May give it a go for two or so days?

I am to see what you do with the same tank I have.....Always good to see as much ideas as you can this way if you see something that works better then what is being done try and incorporate that in my own tank.....In your thread it works out that way since we both have the exact same system as far as tank and over flow etc....
I say add some pics this way you can see the progression as well along with the rest of us.....
As far as filter media I have used Phos zorb, Chem zorb along with activated carbon in a recycled Sea-clone skimmer as my media reactor..... Between all of that and the blue legs the pita algae has disappeared in about 2 months time. I have also noticed cleaner water and fuller polyps, colors of what SPS I have is much brighter and vivid.

Okay guy and gals.
Im super embarrased about the algae issue and my poor pics.
Imagine the first pic, the rock with all the rics on it .... not there. It is not supporting anything other than the rics. I'ld like to move it and have a more open horse shoe bed. Also the rock on the top of the reef front left, donut shape rock, and the spikey rock with coraline on it will be moved as well. Then its a really nice flat all the way back to the left corner. Hopefully this will be SPS Alley.

i think it looks great. dont worry about the algae it doesnt look bad at all. i love the mccoskers, i have one and they are so pretty. im surprised that of all my fish and him being the last one added is that he is the most agressive.

Nice.....I wouldn't worry about algae how long has this tank been up? I spent the first year after setting mine up the second time with an algae issue.....It happends. Looks like some nice color morphs you got there.....Simular to the ones I got. Hard to beat the colors and price.
