Hi @Victoria M - I'm behind it seems on a lot of threads and what not due to last minute KT sessions at work. Next week I'm taking a LOA for a bit. In any case thanks for the tag as it let me catch up on all of your mischief You have been busy and it all looks great. Sort of hit me, you nurses. A wife's pillar of strength, a mothers guiding hand, and a nurses touch. Its like the trifecta of super powers you have going on. Then your DIY - quad something or other, right? The weekend did not go as planned. No pictures of a beautiful sump.
But I did get to use the citric acid to clean up my skimmer and it did a nice job. I also used some to clean up the sump and I noticed it allows you to wipe off calcium deposits after a short short soak compared to vinegar.

I need to clean my gyres again soon. They are neglected. I should do that tonight. I did find citric acid to be better than vinegar for calcium deposits and coraline. I found it worse on the slimy biological stuff.

Yes, I need to scrub the inside the downdraft area of the skimmer is still gross. I need to find that scrubbing thingy I made.

I don't recall off the top of my head. I saw a recommendation on here that I went with but don't recall what it was.
