After the sad loss of my fish, some 11 years old, I am starting over from scratch. This is going to take all winter, I am sure. I removed all the coral and placed them in a 40B. Removed all the sand and LR. Then I ran bleach thru the whole system. I took down and cleaned all the equipment and sump. Now I am running vinegar thru a pump to clean the walls of the tank. I almost bought 50 gallons of vinegar. Imagine that! The house smells like salt and vinegar chips. LOL

Stoopid neomeris. It is what started this whole process.

I love this for water changes. I added the larger section of the python to the drain hose and now it reaches the tempory tank. I bought this thing 12 years ago. A great investment.

How it looks today. I finally got all the coraline off, and picked the kitchen back up. Hopefully the house will stop smelling so bad! IMG_2730.JPG

Just a picture of the brute can with the LR just soaking in saltwater with a power head.
I did a water change on that too.
IMG_2735.JPGAnd here is a pic of the cleaned out sump and fish room.

For the first time in my 10+ years of reefing I am dealing with moving BTAs. They are not liking something in the tank.

Hope everything goes great on your rebuild, I also have a 180 Acrylic & see some scratches that will have to be repaired if I ever have to take it down.

I love mine! I need to get a long hose for my sons axolotl tank. maybe not a python as it will empty directly to the toilet not to the sink.
