This past week I was out of town getting Open Water Dive certified.
We only dove in NC. So people who live in tropical areas,do not laugh when you watch this video:neutral:.

Here is a short video of the dives we did.
We were suppose to go out to dive on 2 wrecks the last day,but a storm came up and it was WAY to rough,so we went to a Jetty and drove around it. Also since there was a storm, the currents were pretty bad and the visibilty was kinda low..

The only close to tropical coral I saw was gargonians..NC has alot of rock anemones, sea urchins, and sponges/tunicates. In the video whenever you see the yellow clumps on the rocks those are neon yellow tunicates.

Anyways..

Welcome to an entirely new addicting hobby! Definitely go diving in the Caribbean if you have the chance.....I grew up diving in Ohio in strip mines and once I did a couple Caribbean dives I never dove where it was cold or low visability again. Thanks for the video....I've never dove in NC, but I here the wrecks are really nice.

cheers,
Darren

Yea! I know, I wanted to go out to the wrecks so bad, but the conditions were not fit for diving around them that day... Maybe sometime in the future!

Thanks! The water was 74, I think, while we were diving. Not tropical but not icey.
