Ok so I don't have a RO/DI system and there's no water purification store or a LFS. I live in a small town and don't know where to get water to do water changes and for my ATO. Is there something I can buy at a grocery store (Safeway)?

I'm going to say distilled water is probably your best bet but it gets expensive. It's probably the safest route that you can buy at a grocery store.

Usually most stores have a store brand but i don't know know the actual difference between store brand distilled and major brand. Your tds meter is going to be your guide in this situation. Good luck

Also, what about those small water refill places that you put a dollar in and get 5gallons of water?

Vending machines are RO only and not RO/DI and will have TDS since they are designed to produce drinking water and the TDS is what gives water it's taste.
Buy gallon or larger jugs of distilled water, it is the closest thing to RO/DI and will have 0 TDS or very close to it.

Ok sounds good. I'm in AZ too but a small city in Az. Nearest town that might have something is kingman but that's a good 45min drive. I only have a 20gallon so I hope it's not too expensive
