Waterbox 100.3 months of waiting for this?

So, today I received my long awaited Waterbox 100.3 with what was supposed to be White Cabinet. Well upon slowly opening everything, unpacking and documenting I realized that I was sent half white and half black parts in the cabinet box. I am sooo ticked...I was looking forward to getting everything set up, now I’m left with a mess and unable to put it together. No answer at Waterbox. AquaCave where I bought it is working to figure out what happened. IMO what happened is they need to do less stupid live chats / YouTube videos and concentrate on QC to see what they are sending to their customers who bought very expensive aquariums. Complete BS @Waterbox Aquariums

Not sure if the issue but I believe waterbox white cabinets are now black on the inside.

My helper is here during cabinet assembly. I guess the earlier comment was correct that the inside was changed to black, Jensen some black parts...not sure how I feel about that.

but yes i agree it looks a bit strange, esp considering you ordered a white stand and they set completely wrong expectations.

you could send it back and make your own? That is completely white on the inside and out. It is a bit trickier though.

Aw dang... I hate big disappointments, too. Wait and wait, giddy like a little kid before Christmas, the moment arrives and the feeling of being underwhelmed is so strong you just stare at it and wonder if you missed something. Hate hearing this.

With everything done, what about a little paint? Oh and how does the tank look?

I had similar experience with cadlight too, the stand came in with chipped paint at multiple places I have to touch them up myself. After assembly the middle pillar which you put in last are few millimeters off to the upper beam. It is frustrating how you spent more than a grand and get stuff that is annoyingly off

Isn't there leveling feet? Did you put the doors on yet?
Its looking good to me so far. Double check the assembly and make sure that you properly tightened the locking nuts that pulls the pieces together.
Between Ikea, my Elos stand and other furniture built like this that I've assembled over the years, I know those things can be a little tricky sometimes.

Thanks for your feedback guys. It’s exciting getting a tank like this...always want it to be perfect...not sure what the solution will be. The white doors cover the black piece when closed. Now the manifold connection is leaking. Checked it twice. Seems to be a chip on the corner. I’ll post more pics soon...

I got my Waterbox 100.3 this week and just got it running today. I have been extremely impressed. I think the change from white stand to white and black interior was good, easy to see salt creep and if want to run a fuge you won't be blinded when light reflects off the wood. Having painted an all white stand inside and out I 100% believe the black interior is an upgrade and helps visual contrast immensely - which is something I give WB credit for, they did some changes based on feedback this year, all glass overflow box, large rear cutout in stand due to complaints about humidity in addition to the black interior.

The stand has horrid instructions but the fit seems spot on for mine. Of course had to play with door hinge adjustments.

I am not using their stock plumbing or sump as I have a basement sump so can't speak to that, however I found their plumbing pretty nice.

Was still in progress so not cleaned up the are or moved the furniture back yet but here it is before I tuck cords and such.

I "lost" it when transferring corals and hunted for 45 min for that glue....
