Hi all,
Upgrading my tank from a Prostar 150 (4-ft) to a new 230.6 Waterbox. Unfortunately, patience is not one of my best virtues. I had ordered the new Waterbox on/around 04-August, and it was noted that the tank is on backorder and would ship before August 31st. I called Waterbox today after having the bright idea of googling their delivery timeframes and seen quite a bit of horror stories. The response back from Waterbox is that they do not have a ship window time for the order as yet. My question is, has anyone recently ordered a new tank from them that was backordered? How long did it take for delivery? I see quite a number of their tanks are on backorder.
In the interim, I have some new fish currently going through quarantine & have some bio media dosed with bacteria in a bucket to help boost the new tank. I don't want to use media from the existing tank as I've lost the battle with aptasia in it. Any other suggestions? My first fish (Gem tang) is going to finish QT within the next 6 days and i'll start with a school of anthias next. I plan on putting the gem in a brute bin with the existing media that's been cycling for a month - Note: I did use a few small pieces of rock from my sump that was clear of any aptasia and was buried at the bottom of the pile.
