I have a watermelon chalice that I started growing out about a year ago and it was growing out nicely, then all of a sudden two weeks ago it turn black. All other corals in tank look great and parameters are in check. Whats going on?

The exact same thing happened to my chalices one by one and I found the culprits! It took a looong time for us to figure it out. After 2 years my chevron tang and blue tang decided to start nipping the chalices with their big ol donkey lips beginning with the flamethrower. We took them both out and haven't had that issue since

From what Ive gathered from my experiences and customers experience, Tangs are not to be trusted around LPS.
